It's All About Me

In a nutshell, I am a wandering pilot.  My job involves lot's of frequent moving so I don't bother with paying rent for a place I never stay.  The company ends up providing me with housing where ever I go.

In previous lives, I made the donuts, bugged people for political donations, did air traffic control in the US Navy, worked as welder's assistant, tried contruction and carpentry, did the security guard thing and finally went into the corporate world as a computer geek.

In 1999, I broke the shakles that chained me to my cubicle.  I ran away as far as I could (from Florida to Alaska) and vowed to never go back to that evil cube.

Now I spend my time flying airplanes in environments and situations that would make an ordinary pilot quiver in fear while gaping in envy.

The Story Behind My .Sig

Those that know me also know my quirky sense of humor and my affinity for breaking the rules of society.  Not that I'm a major felon or anything, I just hate being forced to conform to what normal people call normal.

As a result, I became quite irritated in the early days of the internet when a lot of people would put a disclaimer at the end of their messages that basically said "The opinions expressed are mine and not my employer's." Sometimes, you still see this.

Who cares!!

Anyway, I decided to take absolutely no credit at all for my opinions and have been blaming others ever since.  Hence my .sig "The opinions expressed are those of my Slave Master."

For the record, only one person has ever claimed to be my slave master.  A friend from my college days, Melinda Smirl (the last name has changed a couple of times from what I understand) used to put "Andy's Slave Master" in her .sig.

They have so much stuff to fill in here, I'm not sure I can do it all.  Down below it says "I'd love to hear from you."

Yeah, whatever.  If you want to send an e-mail, there are a gazillion e-mail links on this site.  Choose whichever one you want.  They all go to the same place.

All the way at the bottom is a link to my other links.  I'm not sure why they did this since the same link is over on the side bar.  I guess the folks that designed this generic site really liked links.

I'd love to hear from you!
